The Concept of Water

The Concept of Water is a book by R.D.V. Glasgow. This book examines the contradictions of water as both a projection of our hopes and aspirations, and an embodiment of our fears and darkest anxieties. Water is commonly taken for granted and treated with contempt, yet it is the very foundation of human existence. Assuming countless forms, it is deeply associated both with life and death, body and soul, purity and pollution, creation and destruction. “The Concept of Water” seeks to bring together the various aspects of our deeply ambiguous relationship with water, providing a systematic account of its symbolic and philosophical significance. This involves looking at how water has been conceived and the role it has played in everyday thought, mythology, literature, religion, philosophy, politics and science, both across cultures and through history. R. D. V. Glasgow was born in Sheffield and currently lives in Zaragoza. His previous books are “Madness, Masks and Laughter” (1995), “Split Down the Sides” (1997), and “The Comedy of Mind” (1999).

Va$hite & Maestro Interviews by Tone

Here is a couple of interviews that I discovered about Hard work and chasing dreams. A lot of people always ask “How did you do this, and how does one do that”. These two in interviews explains that concept at a grass roots level. The 1st interview is based on Va$hite, which is one of the best Video Directors in the Game to date;

“The fine ladies over at Cash and Caviar (www.cashandcaviar) brought me in to shoot and edit this interview with the lovely and talented director and all around artists,NY’s Downtown Sweetheart, Va$htie Kola. The interview was written by none other than Jac’leen “La Star Noir” Smith and all was produced by Blair “Blanco” Tripp.” – Tone

The second interview is based a “Real World” type of guy. He is know for following his dreams and not giving up until he completed his goal. VERY INSPRIRATIONAL.

Levi Maestro, the man behind MaestroKnows.com,stops by Raphael Saadiq’s, “Blakeslee Studios”, to talk with me about originality and the reason why he started his website. – TONE

New stadiums are built every year and the private businesses that own them benefit from huge sums of public money for their creation. Are we getting our money’s worth?

Internets Celebrities are Dallas Penn, Rafi Kam and director Casimir Nozkowski
Featuring Neil deMause and Killian Jordan
Additional Cinematography – Ian Savage
Original Music – Bless-1

Stadium Status was funded by fans of the Internets Celebrities via Kickstarter including a sponsorship from our friends at DIYThemes — the company behind the Thesis theme for WordPress. We are grateful for everyone’s support.

Drake - Find Your Love - Video Review

After many unsuccessful attempts from Drake to get this Music Video thing down, he final does it with he latest video “Find Your Love”. To be honest I never liked the song, I thought “Over” was a way better song, but the video lack creativity on his part. On the other hand and vice verse, I was not feeling the song “Find Your Love” , but the video is his best to date. It also helps that Drake can actually act. So this is The official video for Drake’s “Find Your Love” which was produced by Kanye West from his upcoming debut album, Thank Me Later, set to drop June 15th. The video was shot in Jamaica, starring Maliah Michel & Mavado. Please see the video Below & Enjoy.

M.I.A - Born Free - Review

Well what do you know, M.I.A is back in action after giving birth to beautiful baby. I guess she comes back to bring the pain. In this short film which depicts her new single “Born Free”, a lot of action takes place to describe the meaning. The director Romain Gavras, must of have an unlimited budget. He does a great job, one of my favorites. Even though I don’t think the song will catch on with most listeners, M.I.A still holds true to her “done it 1st” attitude.  Clearly, this video is not for the kiddies due the graphic nature of killings and acts of violence. It has a sort of political stand, against something, who knows. As of right now M.I.A is literally MIA and not commenting on the video at all. I can promise you one thing ….you never seen or heard anything like this before. Enjoy.

Ciara - Ride ft. Ludacris

I have heard a lot of bad reviews for Ciara’s new single named “Ride”, so knowing the creative side of my being, I had to listen to it for myself. The song is VERY Underrated, I think the beat, Ludacris’ flow and Ciara’s melody is on point. With her amazing beauty, and a dope video (**UPDATED BELOW**) in the works, the song is hot. If the song was trash at least we still could look at her..right? Listen at the track below.

Kidz in the Hall - Fresh Academy

Ok , before I start “blogging”. I remember meeting the Kidz in the Hall about 2 years ago at the MAGIC show in Vegas, when they were pushing a Valentine mix-tapes. I really respect their hustle and grind, because they have taken underground hip hop to a new level. At time when Production and Lyrics are at a all time low level of quality ..they step it with and well…make it fresh.

B.o.B - Not Love, Short Music Video

[vimeo 9849176]

The unofficial video for B.o.B’s “Not Love” taken from his Hi! My Name Is B.o.B mixtape with Mick Boogie & Terry Urban. His debut album The Adventures Of Bobby Ray is due out April 27th. The song talks about the vicious circle of drugs and politics and how the little we know about both sides of the story. The main point is that common folk are punished for drug use while other who give the punish seem to go un-noticed.
