The Benjamin Bear | A minimal Web boutique

Well here is an oldie but goodie. About a month ago, I finished the complete remolded of the website for one of my projects named “The Benjamin Bear”. I think it is some of the best minimal web design on the Internet today. I am not just saying that, just because I created it, I am saying that because it is the truth.

I started out with blank template of word press and with the totally opposite of the white backgrounds that most minimal standards are set, by going with black. After attaching a retro font, adding some home made pictures and “walla”.  The site is also very simple in design that it completes only what is necessary for a online boutique to run successful. You can view the site at the link below;

Won Hundred - Autum/Winter 2010

I have had the pleasure of introducing to the world some new stuff from Won Hundred. I have like this brand for some time now, but this Fall Season will be crazy. The Won Hundred Autumn/Winter collection is inspired by the straight lines and hard shapes from cubist art, combined with the soft and natural influences from collage art of the same era. Materials like wood, paper and all sorts of found objects are glued and taped together. While black, grey and white are key, this seasons colors range from spice brown to a dark duffel bag green accented by a washed out aubergine and muted jade green. With all that creativity flowing how could you not be inspired to love, live and laugh…Enjoy.

Summer Nights - Fashion Looks for 2010

If you didn’t know, I am pretty keen on the fashion tip (progressive street wear). I am not Ralph Lauren himself, but I tend to do my thing from time to time. A lot of the time people would ask me “What would you wear, if you were me”. I gently tell them, “You know, something classic, but be you. If you are looking for specifics, I would have to charge you.” Then we would both laugh.

Below are some simple, but pricey looks for the 2010 summer nights, and something not too over board. The colors rock very well together and the brands are top notch ( I hand pick them). Here’s the break down; Jeans are PRPS, which are a nice classic look, if you are tired of wearing Levis and looking like you fell out of a Urban Outfitters. The shirt and the shoes are from the Japanese Brand Visvim. The sneakers are made with hard wearing canvas which are highlighted by the velvet patches.

The laptop bag is the Killer, it’s by Travelteq, and will shut  any business, casual, afternoon meeting, cookout, brunch DOWN! Lastly the shades are from the famous vintage eye wear MosCot. Check them out!!…and after all the compliments you get…please tell them “I get it from IdealPatHill”. Enjoy.
