The Benjamin Bear | A minimal Web boutique

Well here is an oldie but goodie. About a month ago, I finished the complete remolded of the website for one of my projects named “The Benjamin Bear”. I think it is some of the best minimal web design on the Internet today. I am not just saying that, just because I created it, I am saying that because it is the truth.

I started out with blank template of word press and with the totally opposite of the white backgrounds that most minimal standards are set, by going with black. After attaching a retro font, adding some home made pictures and “walla”.  The site is also very simple in design that it completes only what is necessary for a online boutique to run successful. You can view the site at the link below;

Ideal Ideas - A World Without Money by Jacque Fresco

In our next segment of Ideal Ideas will explore the world of  Jacque Fresco. who is Jacque Fresco?

In the meantime he is a 94 year old genius, which is also a self-educated social engineer, industrial designer, author, lecturer, futurist, inventor, and the creator of The Venus Project. The biggest idea he is not only to change world, but change how people think….

“I asked myself, ‘How are you going to change all these people, they have different values, different customs, different language, different interpretations?’ So that’s the time I joined the Ku Klux Klan in Miami. The reason I joined is to see if I could change them. So I dissolved that organization in a month-and-a-half, alone. [Applause] Then I joined the White Citizen Council. The WCC hates foreigners – all foreigners. So I joined that organization; I dissolved it in one month.” – Jacque Fresco (Lecture at COP Kreativ – Copenhagen, Denmark the 26th of September 2009)

He has worked as both designer and inventor in a wide range of fields spanning biomedical innovations and integrated social systems. He believes his ideas would maximally benefit the greatest number of people and he states some of his influence stems from his formative years during the Great Depression.

Well I think my influences come from the Great recession, but who knows. Please take some to watch the video and learn something for a change, He talks about a world without money! Smart Dude, Very Smart Dude.

Va$hite & Maestro Interviews by Tone

Here is a couple of interviews that I discovered about Hard work and chasing dreams. A lot of people always ask “How did you do this, and how does one do that”. These two in interviews explains that concept at a grass roots level. The 1st interview is based on Va$hite, which is one of the best Video Directors in the Game to date;

“The fine ladies over at Cash and Caviar (www.cashandcaviar) brought me in to shoot and edit this interview with the lovely and talented director and all around artists,NY’s Downtown Sweetheart, Va$htie Kola. The interview was written by none other than Jac’leen “La Star Noir” Smith and all was produced by Blair “Blanco” Tripp.” – Tone

The second interview is based a “Real World” type of guy. He is know for following his dreams and not giving up until he completed his goal. VERY INSPRIRATIONAL.

Levi Maestro, the man behind MaestroKnows.com,stops by Raphael Saadiq’s, “Blakeslee Studios”, to talk with me about originality and the reason why he started his website. – TONE

the iDEAL Working method

No one ever knows the day when you will leave this beautiful place we call earth. I have been blessed to have many experiences over my lifetime, but I still feel I have not seen anything yet.  This iDEAL working method by an old Timberland & Magoo song named “All of Y’all”. The hook of the song reminds you that life is too short and take very few timeouts as possible or none at all. It also reminds you to have fun at all cost and do the things in life that drive you. To accomplish this you must not put your life on hold also known as a TIMEOUT. Having this sort of mindset will propel you to do anything that you set your mind to. You must understand, by placing your dreams, life, or whatever you love to do on hold/pause you miss out on total happiness. I see people everyday going to work and placing their life on hold all week, by living for the weekend and realizing that their true  passion is not pushing papers. Unless you are the rare breed of Donald Trump or my main man Ken Lewis and you have a passion for the Corporate Life, then DO WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO without timeouts. To go hand and hand with the NO-Timeout mindset, I am reminded of a teacher from middle school who once told me “to never follow your dreams, CHASE them down and tackle them.” If you work hard on your passion everyday, then there will never be a true day of work.

But you still “Work-Hard”, which is a term that is seldom practice in today’s society. People in this so called 80 babies generation always talking about they want to be rich, wealthy, and have the finner things in LIFE. Well to have all those things you must work hard, but the catch is that when you work hard the only thing you get in return is more work. So I ask these so-called “wanna Be rich people” are you working hard or hardly working?

So with your Work-Hard Mindset (09.08.07) aimed at your passion and taking no timeouts you will find yourself blasting out and upwards into your own world of dreams. So the question is “Are you taking breaks?”

This original post was created 2007, which lets you know what iDEAL person I was back then and still today…

Why Apple should buy Yahoo

A while back, I was reading an article (HERE) on the four major tech companies on the globe, which are Apple, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google. Now we all know that Google is the king of search, Apple is the Leader in Gadgets, and well, as much as we all don’t want to admit it Microsoft has the throne on Software (right  now anyway). What does Yahoo have to offer, besides after selling Hotjobs.com to Monster.com and losing the bid on Mint.com, well they have nothing, but a second ranked search engine and nothing cool of anything of the sort.

This sad but true story has lead to my rationale of thinking that Apple should cough up the small change of about 25 Billion dollars, which is only about 13% of Apple market cap depending on which day you decide to check the stock tickers. Any who, by looking at the chart below you can clearly see that Apple only lacks in online search, which they don’t have, but I think could make it better and way more marketable. I mean, let’s be real Apple is the  research and market genius of our generation, and your fathers generation for that matter. I believe if Apple was to purchase Yahoo, at good “fair” market value, then they could easily turn that sinking ship around for the better.

So, the iDEAL situation for Apple is buy Yahoo, in my opinion anyway. Unless the financial books at Yahoo or Apple are so bad that 1; they cant afford it or 2; Yahoo is way too much trouble behind the scenes to “bailout”, there is no reason why this can’t be a happy takeover.  Remember Microsoft wanted to buy Yahoo at one time, because it figured it could rival Google in the search space. So why not Apple?
