Time is All we have

A week ago, I had a discussion with one of my friends about time. It is something that is taken lightly every single day.  As people living in America and around the globe, we have wasted more time then we actually even know. Considering time is the only thing that can be share, given, and cherished all at the same time. It should be something that is held near and dear to us all. With all that being said I decided to do some research on the subject; Where is our time spent?? Where does it Go? Especially on Weekdays?

According the US reports that include company tax returns, TV ratings, and census data, I have created some Visual Graphs to explain where our time goes. Most of all the time is spent sleeping and to me that is a waste of time itself. I have always believed that I will rest when I die. To be exact 9.2 hours of our day is accounted to personal care which includes sleeping. If you need some motivation on what to do with your spare time instead of sleep go HERE , they will teach how to cut down you sleep by one hour and accomplish some goals at the same time. The next chunk of nothingness that takes up our time is working for the man!! Up to 6 hours a day is spent working for someone else doing what you don’t want to do anyway. I am not saying quit your job, because you might like your job. This part of blog is just “For your Information”, use it at your own will.

Lastly, most people spend on average about 4 hours watching TV or surfing the web. I cant complain about the Internet, because it is what makes me a lot of my money today, but TV is over rated. Especially when you can spread the time around to Caring for others, or even educating yourself. Don’t get anything mistaken in this post about “your” time, and please remember that this is just WEEKDAY numbers. I am pretty sure lots of people spend a lot of time on the weekends doing more things that may be constructive, but remember its only 2 day of the week. Just take some TIME and THINK “WHAT AM I DOING??” As always Enjoy.

M.I.A - Born Free - Review

Well what do you know, M.I.A is back in action after giving birth to beautiful baby. I guess she comes back to bring the pain. In this short film which depicts her new single “Born Free”, a lot of action takes place to describe the meaning. The director Romain Gavras, must of have an unlimited budget. He does a great job, one of my favorites. Even though I don’t think the song will catch on with most listeners, M.I.A still holds true to her “done it 1st” attitude.  Clearly, this video is not for the kiddies due the graphic nature of killings and acts of violence. It has a sort of political stand, against something, who knows. As of right now M.I.A is literally MIA and not commenting on the video at all. I can promise you one thing ….you never seen or heard anything like this before. Enjoy.

OverLoaded but Over Prepared

When the tough gets going, I guess things are already tough huh? Well, at this point in my life I sleep about 4 hours a day, work harder than you can imagine and this only the beginning. 2010 is already going down in history as the hardest year of my life. To be honest Grad School was an easier task than those that lay ahead of me. So, as I sit here thinking of what design or graphic can help depict what I am going thru, I try to think of who has a harder job than me, and the only person I can come up with is President Obama. That’s right, the only person working harder or who has more stress than me is the President of the United States as known as the leader of the Free World. You can say what you want, but it is what it is. As I pick up the pace on posts to the site, you will see projects start to develop in front of your eyes. Until then please enjoy these photo remixes of the President Obama I created. The photos are from the year 1980, when Obama was a freshman at Occidental College in Los Angeles; he was approached by an aspiring photographer named Lisa Jack, who asked him if he would be willing to pose for some black and white photographs that she could use in her portfolio. Well this is the remix. They describe two feelings; Stressed and Overwork, and then the joy of the all the hard work which pays dividends. Enjoy.
